There is saying which goes like this “Never judge a book by its cover.” It means that a person is just like a book, and a person’s internal beauty is more important than his external appearance.

When I was in junior two, a transferred student, Xiao Huang, came to my class and became my desk mate. The girl seemed to have no facial expression and looked very cool. My classmates and I all thought she was a little bit strange and we didn’t want to make friends with her. But everything changed in a P.E class. The teacher told us to run around the playground. Unfortunately, I fell down. Then someone ran to me and picked me up. That’s Xiao Huang! She looked worried and asked me, “Are you OK?” From then on, Xiao Huang became my friend and I found she was a lovely girl. All I had thought was not true. She was just too shy to express herself.

Now I feel lucky that I finally judge Xiao Huang by her personality, otherwise I would miss a chance to make such a nice friend. My own experience lends support to the fact “Never judge a book by its cover.”!

An old saying has it that “never judge a book by its cover”. And the essence of the saying is that when we appreciate somebody, we see the external appearance of them. But what is most important is their internal beauty. The old saying reminds me of the experience when I was in the middle school. At that time, I meet Xiao Ming, a very handsome boy. At first I didn’t care about him. But one day, my money was lost and I felt very helpless, because I had no money to go home. No one came to help me. However, Xiao Ming, who I didn’t care about, gave me a hand. He lent his pocket money to me.

From Xiao Ming, we can see that it takes time to know a person’s real character. What we should bear in mind is that we should appreciate not only a person’s external appearance but also his internal beauty.
