What Makes a Day?

Today on the bus heading home, a young girl sat near me—not a Guang Ming student. She was speaking softly while looking out the window, but I could see she wasn’t on a cell phone. Then I noticed the open school book in her lap and, listening carefully, realized she was memorizing the passage on “a fashion model.” When she saw me studying her book, she got very embarrassed, so I was careful not to look at her again. But when she got up to get off the bus, she looked back at me several times, smiling shyly, waving her hand close to her chest, and mouthing “Good-bye, Good-bye.” It was enough to make one’s day.

今天有何不同？

       今天在回家的公共汽车上，一个小女孩坐在我旁边------虽然并不是光明的学生。她一边看着窗外，一边在低声呢喃；但是看得出她并不是在打手机。然后，我注意到了她膝盖上摊开的课本，我仔细倾听，原来她在背诵我们学生也在学的“a fashion model”那段课文。

当她看到我在研究她的书本，她变得非常尴尬；所以我小心翼翼地转过头，试着不再注视她。可是当她起身下车时，她回头看了我几次，害羞得微笑，小手紧贴在胸口向我挥动示意，嘴里像是在说“拜拜，拜拜”。

我的今天因此而变得美好快乐。
