Room 506 ---Where The Action Is

Between classes the Senior 1 English Office is a mad-house. Sometimes several students line up at one teacher’s desk in order to recite a memorized passage. Some are perfect; some need a little help; others who apparently haven’t done their work get reprimanded. Other times, a large group of students stands just outside the door—probably blocking the hallway—waiting their turn to approach a teacher inside and recite a passage. They chatter and giggle wildly in the hallway, then turn mute when they enter. I am very familiar now with the passage on the career of a surgeon.

高一英语备课组------热闹之地

课间高一英语备课组的办公室热闹得掀开了锅。有时好几个学生排在一位老师的办公桌前等着背诵课文，他们有的滚瓜烂熟，有的需要老师略微的提醒，还有的显然没在家里做好功课，挨老师批了。还有时一大群学生站在门口，等待轮到他们进去背给自己的老师听。他们站在那儿，几乎堵住了走道，一边聊天，一边咯咯地说笑，但是一旦走进办公室立即就哑了。现在，我已经对学生们要求背诵的那段课文 “surgeon” 非常熟悉了。
